How Town Government Works

Townsville operates under a council-manager form of government. Residents elect a Mayor and four Commissioners, who set policy and adopt the annual budget. The Town Council appoints a professional Town Manager to oversee day-to-day operations and Town staff.

Several volunteer boards and committees, made up of Townsville residents, advise the Council on specific areas like planning, zoning, and parks.
